Since seeing Peahens roaming wild in Rajasthan I have had a desire to paint them. They moved so gracefully through temple edges and open ground. Whilst teh Peacock performs, the hen is designed for survival, blending into dry grasses and shrubs where she nests her young alone.
I find them incredibly beautiful. Finished in a beautiful dramatic heavy gold vintage frame.
